Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce that four attorneys have been named Directors, effective January 1, 2019.

“These promotions are particularly well-deserved,” said Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons. “We are extremely proud of these attorneys, and we look forward to working with them in their new roles.”

The attorneys promoted to Director are:

Andrew J. Camelotto, Real Property Department
Mr. Camelotto has extensive experience in commercial real estate law, with a focus on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, land use, and real estate finance issues. His experience includes the negotiation of real estate contracts, leases, agreements, and easements; zoning and title reviews; land use due diligence; and representation of both borrowers and lenders on a variety of finance transactions, including commercial, industrial, retail, and mixed use properties.

Lauren James-Weir, Commercial & Criminal Litigation Department
Ms. James-Weir provides litigation counseling primarily in the areas of First Amendment and media law. She represents news organizations as well as non-media clients in matters involving free speech; defamation; invasion of privacy; access to records under New Jersey’s Open Public Records Act and the Freedom of Information Act; the Reporter’s Shield Law; access to courtrooms; cameras in the courtroom; and legislative initiatives impacting the media. Ms. James-Weir serves as co-counsel to the New Jersey Press Association and works closely with numerous news organizations and newspapers throughout the tristate area on a variety of legal issues affecting the media.

Lisa Lombardo, Commercial & Criminal Litigation Department
Ms. Lombardo has successfully litigated matters before the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York, as well as the American Arbitration Association, with a focus on construction matters. Her experience in commercial litigation and construction litigation is unique in that she represents both plaintiffs and defendants. She was co-lead counsel in a three-year long arbitration representing a major university in a claim involving extensive and complex design and construction defects, which resulted in a multimillion-dollar award in our client’s favor and the arbitrator striking down a limitation of liability clause. Unlike most litigators in the construction arena, Ms. Lombardo also has experience drafting and negotiating contracts.

Brett S. Theisen, Financial Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights Department
Mr. Theisen has extensive experience in all aspects of debtor/creditor relations; bankruptcy and insolvency litigation and appeals; general commercial and corporate litigation; and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He represents plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of matters in federal and state courts, including Ponzi scheme litigation; complex fraudulent transfer and preference actions; alter ego litigation; shareholder disputes, including fraud, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and related claims; contract disputes; and contested chapter 11 confirmation proceedings.
