As part of its annual New Jersey Legal Awards, the New Jersey Law Journal (NJLJ) has honored Gibbons P.C. in four categories. The publication sponsors these awards to “honor those lawyers who have left an indelible mark on the legal community in New Jersey and beyond through their unwavering dedication to the profession.” This year’s ceremony was held on September 13 at the Park Chateau in East Brunswick, New Jersey.

The firm was selected as the “Labor and Employment Litigation Department of the Year,” its fifth victory in a “Litigation Department of the Year” category, and was also named a finalist for “Law Firm of the Year.” Gibbons was previously chosen in the Class Actions (2017), Products Liability (2016), and Commercial Litigation (2013) categories, while in 2014, the firm was named the General Litigation Department of the Year.

Gibbons Employment & Labor Law Group Chair, Christine A. Amalfe, was interviewed by NJLJ to discuss some of the Group’s most satisfying successes and how the attorneys and staff have grown and adapted to the ever-changing legal landscape. She notes that “success in this climate means being ready and always available to support the client, no matter how obscure the need or time-sensitive the matter,” and “employment and labor law is truly a 24/7 business, with employee concerns and complaints coming beyond traditional work hours.” To read the interview, click here.

Michael D. DeLoreto, Gibbons Government & Regulatory Affairs Group Director, was included among this year’s “New Leaders of the Bar,” which recognizes attorneys under the age of 40 who bring both notable achievements and outstanding potential to the table. Mr. DeLoreto joins numerous Gibbons attorneys who previously received this accolade.

Gibbons Corporate Group Chair, Frank T. Cannone, was named a finalist for the “Dealmaker of the Year” Award, recognizing transactional lawyers in corporate, M&A, real estate, or practice. Mr. Cannone was interviewed by NJLJ and noted that “a trusted legal advisor to leading businesses and their owners and other stakeholders must be highly competent and experienced in their work, dedicated, truly interested in their clients’ businesses and transactions, with an equal understanding of the effects these things have on their personal lives, as well as be readily available at all times to meet their clients’ needs.” To read the interview, click here.
