Patrick Dunican Named to the 2015 Irish Education 100 List

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to congratulate Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of the firm, on being named to the Irish Voice’s Irish Education 100, which celebrates the leaders of educational institutions throughout the United States who are of Irish descent.

Mr. Dunican has also been recognized among the Irish Voice’s Irish Legal 100 and was named among PolitickerNJ’s “Irish American Leaders of New Jersey.” In 2013, he celebrated his Irish heritage by serving as Grand Marshal of Newark’s 78th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Mr. Dunican serves on the Iona College Board of Legal Trustees and is a member of the Board of Trustees Executive Committee; Committee on Trustees/Governance; Academic Committee; and Audit Compliance and Risk Committee, which he Chairs. In 2013, he earned the Legacy Award from Iona in recognition of his extensive charitable and community outreach, as well as his contributions to his alma mater.

In addition, Mr. Dunican also serves his law school, the Seton Hall University School of Law, as Chair of its Board of Visitors and Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. He previously served as Co-Chair of the Seton Hall Law Rising Campaign, which was publicly launched in 2007 and exceeded its goal of raising $25 million for the law school. In 2015, the Seton Hall Law School bestowed the Saint Thomas More Medal upon him and in 2011 he was named the Law School’s Distinguished Alumnus.

Mr. Dunican is a nationally recognized legal industry leader who was elected Managing Director of Gibbons in 2004, at the age of 36. Under his leadership, the firm joined the Am Law 200.
