Patrick Dunican and William Palatucci Selected to ROI-NJ’s Inaugural “Influencers Power List”
February 27, 2018
ROI-NJ, a weekly newspaper covering business in New Jersey, has named Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons P.C., and William J. Palatucci, Special Counsel at the firm, to its inaugural “Influencers Power List” of the most influential people in New Jersey business. The list ranks the state’s top 25 influencers by number and then features a select group of influential professionals in various industries and professions.
ROI notes of Mr. Dunican, who is one of only six attorneys in the state selected in the “Lawyers” category, “The legal industry was the most difficult to figure out in this year’s list, as firms are battling to win favor with a new administration from a different party. Gibbons, run by Dunican, was continually noted by insiders as the firm that is the most influential – and tied to the most deals – with the Murphy administration. A number of partners are worthy of mention. We’re going with Dunican, who oversees it all.”
Mr. Dunican was also recently ranked #26 on the 2017 PolitickerNJ “Power List” of the 100 most prominent and connected people in New Jersey politics. Both he and Mr. Palatucci have been featured for seven consecutive years among the NJBIZ “Power 100” list of the most powerful people in New Jersey business.
Mr. Palatucci is one of eight people selected in the “Consultants” category. Of Mr. Palatucci, the publication states, “Here’s another name that may have people scratching their heads. Isn’t he done, now that Christie is done? Not quite. And not by a long shot. Palatucci still knows how to run campaigns, still knows how to help Republican candidates carry (dark) blue states like New Jersey and still has plenty to offer candidates such as Bob Hugin and many others at a time his party is under attack from all sides in the Garden State.”
According to Tom Bergeron, Editor and Chief Content Officer of ROI-NJ, “Picking the list of the state’s most influential has never been harder.” To compile the “Influencers Power List,” ROI-NJ editors spoke to many connected sources over several months to highlight the high-level officials in the state, county, and federal governments, as well as executives from some of New Jersey’s largest employers and organizations, who most help to strengthen New Jersey businesses.
