For the ninth consecutive year, NJBIZ has featured Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons P.C., on its annual “Power 100” list of the most influential people in New Jersey business. Mr. Dunican is one of the very few people to be named to this list every year it has been published.

This year, NJBIZ notes of Mr. Dunican:

Gibbons PC is a strong law firm, and Patrick Dunican keeps it that way. Law360 touted Gibbons as a regional powerhouse and Dunican himself as one of the most innovative managing partners at a U.S. law firm. According to data from the state Election Law Enforcement Commission, Gibbons has been the top lawyer-lobbying firm in the state for 11 years running and Dunican is expanding it beyond New Jersey to D.C. and Florida. Representing the New Jersey Legislature, Gibbons played a key role in the case that forged the way for sports betting legalization. In another sports-related case, Gibbons represented the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and state in a bid to get the 2026 FIFA World Cup final scheduled for the New York-New Jersey area.

Mr. Dunican has also previously appeared on the PolitickerNJ “Power List.”

To compile the “Power 100” list, NJBIZ editors and staff conducted extensive research aimed at determining the business leaders, educators, legislators, and other high-level personnel across the state who have affected positive changes and helped foster meaningful growth in New Jersey business. This year’s issue ranks the 10 most powerful people in New Jersey business in numerical order and lists the remaining 90 in alphabetical order.
