Mariellen Dugan Rejoins Gibbons in the Firm’s Commercial & Criminal Litigation Department

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce that Mariellen Dugan has rejoined the firm’s Newark office as a Director in the Commercial & Criminal Litigation Department. Ms. Dugan started her career at Gibbons as a litigation associate.
Ms. Dugan spent more than a decade at New Jersey Resources Corporation (NJR), a Fortune 1000 company that provides energy services in New Jersey and throughout the US and Canada. While at NJR, she served first as the company’s Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer and later as Chief Operating Officer of New Jersey Natural Gas Company, a public utility and NJR’s largest subsidiary. During her tenure at NJR, Ms. Dugan was responsible for overseeing a wide variety of litigation matters, including commercial, securities, employment, regulatory, and mass tort cases, and for conducting internal investigations. Additionally, she advised senior management and the board of directors on business strategy, risk alignment, compliance, and crisis management. A former Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey and First Assistant Attorney General of the State of New Jersey, Ms. Dugan is an experienced litigator, skilled problem-solver, and a highly valued business counselor.

Ms. Dugan earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Montclair State College. She is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
