Law360 Names Gibbons One of New Jersey’s 2022 Powerhouse Law Firms
August 12, 2022
Law360 has again named Gibbons P.C. a “New Jersey Powerhouse” law firm as part of the publication’s “Regional Powerhouse” series. Gibbons, one of only five firms selected in 2022, has been included on this list numerous times since it was launched in 2014.
The 2022 New Jersey Powerhouse list comprises law firms selected for having “tapped into their deep roots in the state and robust legal talent in delivering for clients in the real estate, health care, energy and various other industries amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and judicial vacancies on the state bench.” Gibbons was chosen for this list based on its longstanding ties to groundbreaking matters with lasting impact on the state’s most prominent industries and countless New Jersey citizens – matters involving some of the region’s most significant corporate and real estate transactions, property developments, lobbying initiatives, and wide-ranging litigations.
Highlighting recent victories in its Gibbons profile for the Powerhouse series, Law360 writes, “Gibbons PC scored a major win at the New Jersey Supreme Court this year, ending the mandatory prison sentence of 30 years without parole for juveniles convicted of murder, while also seeing its work have seismic impacts on combating a lead contamination crisis and redeveloping a former baseball stadium property in the Garden State’s largest city.”
The profile also notes, “Nearly a century after the Newark-based firm was founded by Andrew Crummy, Gibbons remains a dominant legal force in New Jersey…”
A quote from Managing Director Peter J. Torcicollo highlights the firm’s dedication to Newark for nearly a century: “To see clients of ours come into the city and believe in the city and invest in the city, … these are exciting times.”
