Isaac Wainhaus Joins the Gibbons Corporate Group

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce that Yitzchak (Isaac) Wainhaus has joined the firm as an associate in the Corporate Group, resident in the New York office.

Mr. Wainhaus was most recently with the law firm of McCormick & O’Brien, LLP in New York. In his career there, Mr. Wainhaus represented corporate clients in connection with complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and other business combinations. He advised international clients on strategic considerations relating to financial and regulatory issues regarding U.S. investments, corporate formation, and jurisdictional issues. More broadly, he has represented investors, developers, financial institutions, private lenders, and foreign governments in connection with financings, acquisitions, and dispositions. For example, he served as counsel to a venture capital fund in connection with a Series A investment in a technology startup. He has also negotiated commercial real estate closings and drafted all relevant documents for the closings.

In legal internship and summer associate positions during law school, Mr. Wainhaus conducted research on issues related to copyrights and trademarks, securities litigation, medical malpractice, and personal injury, and he drafted related memoranda.

Mr. Wainhaus earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was a member of the Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law, and his B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is admitted to practice in the state of New York.
