Gibbons White Collar & Investigations Group Co-Chair Lawrence S. Lustberg and Directors Anne M. Collart and John D. Haggerty were acknowledged by Global Investigations Review (GIR) for their work as co-counsel in U.S. v Coburn et al. The case was shortlisted along with only four other cases in the “Most Important Court Case of the Year” category at the GIR Awards 2025, held November 13 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The GIR Awards “celebrate the people, firms and enforcement authorities behind the investigations, court cases and other developments that have impressed most in the past year or will have the biggest impact on how cases and related enforcement will progress.”

U.S. v Coburn et al. has drawn significant attention to the shift in enforcement and investigation guidelines under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, after the signing of a February 2025 Executive Order.
