Gibbons Welcomes Back Wendy Llewellyn-Langford to the Business & Commercial Litigation Group

Gibbons P.C.’s Business & Commercial Litigation (BCL) Group is pleased to welcome back Wendy L. Llewellyn-Langford, resident in the Newark office. As a BCL associate, Ms. Llewellyn-Langford works on a wide range of litigation matters in New Jersey state and federal courts, including construction, class action, and contract dispute matters.

Before rejoining the firm, Ms. Llewellyn-Langford served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable J. Brendan Day, U.S.M.J., United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. During her clerkship with Judge Day, she gained valuable insight into federal civil pretrial practice and further developed her legal skills in a fast-paced environment. She assisted attorneys and pro se parties with procedural issues, managed and addressed a substantial number of daily electronic filings on a wide variety of cases, observed settlement conferences, and drafted orders and opinions that ranged from rulings on complex discovery disputes to a report and recommendation on a dispositive motion.

Her background also includes a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Mary Gibbons Whipple, J.A.D., New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, where she conducted research and wrote memoranda for the Appellate Division panel judges on a variety of tax, civil, criminal, family, and administrative matters and drafted and edited opinions. Prior to this clerkship, she served as an intern in the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender in the Mercer Trial Region and Special Hearings Unit.

Ms. Llewellyn-Langford earned her J.D, cum laude, from Rutgers School of Law – Newark and her B.A. from Michigan State University. She is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey and United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
