Gibbons Special Counsel Bill Palatucci Joins Turning Point, Inc.’s Board of Trustees

January 24, 2020

William J. Palatucci, Special Counsel in the Corporate Department of Gibbons P.C., has joined the Board of Trustees of Turning Point, Inc., a nonprofit drug and alcohol addiction treatment center that assists more than 3,500 New Jersey residents each year.

“The Board of Trustees is excited to welcome Mr. Palatucci to Turning Point,” said Robert Detore, Chief Executive Officer of Turning Point, Inc. “Bill’s extensive experience representing providers in the fields of recovery and reentry services will be a major asset to Turning Point and our patients.”

Turning Point, headquartered in Paterson, has multiple locations throughout New Jersey, which is a significant benefit for the people it serves. Patients are able to stay close to their homes and families during their recovery processes, which greatly increases their chances for success.

“I am honored to be joining the Board at such an exciting and important time,” said Mr. Palatucci. “In the last year alone, Turning Point launched a new long-term inpatient substance abuse treatment program at their Passaic County facility and opened a brand-new outpatient facility in Lakewood. I look forward to helping Turning Point further its goal of caring for New Jerseyans who are facing the challenge of drug and alcohol addiction.”

Mr. Palatucci is Special Counsel at Gibbons P.C. and one of New Jersey’s most prominent and widely respected attorneys, with a reputation for strategic planning and advice regarding complex public policy and communications initiatives. He is also a leader in New Jersey’s Republican Party and, for the past 30 years, has had a hand in some of the most important state and federal elections in New Jersey. He served as an advisor to Governor Chris Christie and held active roles in the political campaigns of Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump, and Governors Tom Kean, Christine Todd Whitman, and Chris Christie. In 2014, Mr. Palatucci was presented with the Seton Hall University School of Law’s Distinguished Graduate Award. He currently serves as a member of the Seton Hall Law School Board of Visitors and of the National Advisory Board for the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University, as well as Chair of the University of Phoenix Board of Trustees for its Jersey City, NJ campus.
