Gibbons Recognized With Profiles In Diversity Journal’s “Innovations In Diversity” Award

September 22, 2010

Profiles in Diversity Journal, the leading media forum for business and institutional diversity and inclusion issues, has announced the winners of this year’s “Innovations in Diversity” awards, which honor corporations, organizations, and institutions that have developed innovative solutions with measurable outcomes in the areas of workforce diversity and inclusion. Gibbons P.C. was honored with an “Excellence in Innovation” recognition.

Awards were given to organizations that have incorporated successful innovations within the past two years that have had influenced their diversity management and staff recruitment, expanded inclusiveness, and improved workplace equity. Gibbons was honored for its supplier diversity program, “GDI-123,” which engages clients and provides procurement and other strategic business opportunities to women- and minority-owned businesses and law firms. GDI-123 helps Gibbons and clients realize a triple bottom line: (i) meeting diverse spend goals with qualified M/WBE vendors; (ii) utilizing diverse Gibbons attorneys with total quality management of services; and (iii) obtaining competitive blended rates for legal services and/or optimum prices for other products and services. GDI-123 is client-friendly, with Gibbons directing the entire business process to place no administrative burden on clients. Diverse spend and resource utilization goals are set with clients on a project basis.

A summary of GDI-123 and other winning innovations will appear in Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2010 July/August Issue.
