The 2014 edition of the Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business features ten Gibbons P.C. practice areas and 27 individual Gibbons attorneys, the most the firm has ever been ranked in the top tiers of this publication. The firm has appeared in the Chambers guide since its inception, and, for the past three years, Gibbons has also contributed the state overview for the New Jersey section of the publication.

Chambers annually rates the nation’s leading business lawyers and law firms through comprehensive interviews with top companies, attorneys, and business executives, plus extensive supplementary research.

“We are extremely proud that Gibbons consistently improves in the Chambers rankings, with more attorneys and practice areas selected this year than any other year,” notes Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons. “We are also grateful to our clients who speak so highly of our attorneys and their service.”

The Chambers excerpts and client testimonials included below highlight the Gibbons practice groups that ranked in the guide’s top three tiers for New Jersey:

Houses extensive litigation capabilities and regularly handles complex bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation before state courts. Sources say: “They dig deep, are responsive and do their best to protect our interests.”

Corporate/M&A: A well-regarded team that is often called upon by New Jersey institutions in large privatizations of state assets … Provides clients with international expertise in countries such as Japan, Germany, and the UK. Sources say: “They are very commercial, dependable attorneys who think outside the box and can go toe to toe with some of the largest New York-based firms.” Others note: “They are particularly effective at striking a balance between rigorously protecting my interest while not creating friction between the buyer and seller and risking the transaction.”

Environment: Runs the gamut of environmental law in New Jersey. Involved in high-profile litigation as well as regulatory compliance, brownfield redevelopment and real estate transactions, and represents a number of large multinational corporations. Sources say: “They are knowledgeable and have the ability to develop and present a position in favor of the client.” Others note: “They have done a very good job, and are very, very responsive.”

They staffed reasonably, even leanly, but they have the resources of a big firm.”
