For the seventh year in a row, Gibbons P.C. is ranked the #1 lawyer-lobbying firm by revenue in New Jersey, according to the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission, which has just released its report on 2014 lobbying expenditures in the state. Gibbons ranked fifth among all lobbying firms in New Jersey.

Despite revenues being down 8.1 percent throughout the Trenton-based lobbying industry, revenues for the Gibbons Government Affairs Department actually rose over 8 percent last year. Gibbons outpaced its nearest competitor by more than $1 million in lobbying fees for calendar year 2014 to retain its longstanding position as the state’s top lawyer-lobbying firm.

“Developments at every level of government, both inside and outside of New Jersey, are occurring every day that impact all sectors of the state’s business community,” said Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons. “We expect continued growth in this area, and as a result, we have expanded this group to assist clients with all of their needs.”

In February, Gibbons announced that William J. Castner, Jr., would serve as the new Chair of its Government Affairs Department, and that four new lawyer-lobbyists were joining the department. This included Christine A. Stearns, former Vice President of Health & Legal Affairs for the New Jersey Business & Industry Association, and Jason J. Redd, former Deputy Executive Director and General Counsel to the New Jersey Senate Majority Office, who joined Gibbons, as well as existing Gibbons attorneys – Kevin G. Walsh and Robert Johnson – who joined the Government Affairs Department. These new lawyer-lobbyists add to the existing experience of team members – David J. Pascrell, Paul J. St. Onge, and Noreen M. Giblin.
