Gibbons P.C. has presented Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ) with the entire $15,000 in matching funds the organization needed to secure a critical grant from the Victoria Foundation.

“Because pro bono is fundamental to our firm’s core values, we have maintained a long history with VLJ,” says Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons. “We are proud to continue partnering with VLJ while taking the Gibbons pro bono program to even greater heights.”

The Victoria Foundation, one of the oldest private foundations in the nation, had offered a challenge grant; to receive $15,000 from the Foundation, VLJ had to raise $15,000 in matching funds. The gift from Gibbons allowed VLJ to achieve that goal immediately. The organization will use the $30,000 to fund its ReLeSe Network, through which attorney volunteers assist formerly incarcerated individuals with their reentry into society and the workforce.
