Gibbons P.C. Welcomes 2025 Fall Associate Class

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce that seven new associates have joined the firm, bringing wide-ranging experience and talent to support the legal and value-added services Gibbons provides to its clients. Their practices span four of the firm’s legal practice groups, and all the associates will be resident in our Newark office.
Consistent with the firm’s commitment to hiring the most promising new attorneys with the most relevant prior experience, the new associate class includes former clerks with New Jersey Superior Court judges and a research assistant with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and intern with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice.

The new associates, along with overviews of their experience, are listed below:
Nathan Glazer, Employment & Labor Law
Mr. Glazer centers his practice on a broad range of employment and labor law matters as part of the firm’s Employment & Labor Law Group. He brings valuable experience with New Jersey courts. Prior to joining Gibbons, Mr. Glazer served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lisa Perez Friscia in the New Jersey Superior Court’s Appellate Division. There, he analyzed arguments, conducted research on legal issues spanning civil, criminal, chancery, and administrative law, prepared bench memoranda, and assisted in writing opinions. Before this clerkship, he was a legal extern for the Honorable Thomas M. Moore in the New Jersey Superior Court’s Civil Division, where he conducted legal research, wrote bench memoranda, and attended motion hearings and trials. He graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was Senior Editor of the Seton Hall Journal of Legislation and Public Policy, and received his B.S. from Syracuse University. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey.
Magnolia Joodi, Business & Commercial Litigation
Ms. Joodi leverages top-ranked legal training, judicial clerkship experience, and more than a decade of senior-level marketing and strategy work for leading global corporations. She consistently delivers strategic, results-driven advocacy that sets her apart in complex commercial disputes. She previously clerked for the Honorable Adam E. Jacobs, J.A.D., New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, and was a legal extern to the Honorable Patty Shwartz, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She gained additional experience at the United States Attorney’s Office and Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel. Before practicing law, Ms. Joodi built a 14-year career in marketing and strategy for Nestlé Nutrition and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. Ms. Joodi received her J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, MBA from Columbia Business School, and B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University. She is admitted to practice in the states of Colorado, New Jersey, New York, and Maryland, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, District of Columbia, and U.S. Virgin Islands.
Jessica Masi, Business & Commercial Litigation
Ms. Masi served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lisa M. Adubato, P.J.Ch., a Chancery Judge sitting in Essex County, New Jersey. During her clerkship, Ms. Masi covered disputes regarding business operations, property matters, estates, and guardianships. Ms. Masi also served as a mediator to resolve disputes in the Special Civil Part. While earning her J.D. at Seton Hall University School of Law, Ms. Masi participated in Mock Trial and served as Associate Editor of the Seton Hall Journal of Legislation and Public Policy. She also interned at two law firms, where she prepared motions, pre-trial memoranda, and pleadings across various areas of law including employment, personal injury, and real estate. Ms. Masi received her B.S. from Pennsylvania State University. She is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.
Frederick A. McDonald III, Environmental
Mr. McDonald handles a wide variety of cases in the firm’s Environmental Group in both state and federal courts. Prior to joining Gibbons, he served as a Deputy Attorney General for the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General’s Division of Criminal Justice as part of the Honors Program. In that role, he prosecuted and managed complex environmental criminal matters from inception through trial, such as cases involving water pollution, solid and hazardous waste, air pollution, and wildlife offenses. He also provided legal counsel to Division of Criminal Justice detectives, New Jersey State Conservation Police, and New Jersey State Police. Mr. McDonald also previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Georgette Castner, U.S.D.J., in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Honorable Ronald Susswein, J.A.D., in the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. He earned his J.D. (cum laude) from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and his B.S. from The College of New Jersey. He also holds an LL.M. in Environmental & Energy Law (with distinction) from Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York and United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Derrick Neves, Business & Commercial Litigation
Mr. Neves joins the firm after having completed clerkships with the Honorable Edward S. Kiel, U.S.D.J., in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Honorable Stuart A. Minkowitz, AJ.S.C., New Jersey Courts, Morris-Sussex Vicinage. His clerking experience enabled him to acquire in-depth knowledge of civil litigation, including the resolution of dispositive motions and discovery disputes. He also served as a research assistant with the ACLU and Maida Fellow/Legal Intern with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice. Mr. Neves received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and his B.S. from Rutgers University. He is admitted to practice law in the states of New Jersey and New York (pending) and United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Amanda R. Simone, Financial Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights
Ms. Simone brings to the Financial Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights Group valuable insight from her experience as a judicial term clerk for the Honorable Stacey L. Meisel in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. Throughout her clerkship, Ms. Simone assisted in the drafting of legal opinions and orders, researched state and federal law in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 matters, and prepared memoranda on complex or unsettled legal issues before the court. Ms. Simone has a strong focus on understanding and interpreting the Bankruptcy Code, the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and the Local Bankruptcy Rules. Her background also includes serving as an intern to the Honorable Robert M. Hanna, J.S.C., New Jersey Superior Court, and a legal assistant in the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Civil Forfeitures Unit. Ms. Simone earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School and B.A. from the University of Alabama. She is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.
Andrew D. Towriss, Business & Commercial Litigation
Mr. Towriss’s background includes legal work in an array of fields, including complex securities and shareholder litigation, contract law, land use, and employment law. He is highly experienced in drafting responses to complaints, settlement documents, interrogatories, and dispositive and discovery motions. Prior to joining Gibbons, Mr. Towriss clerked for the Honorable Lisa Miralles Walsh, A.J.S.C., New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division. During his judicial clerkship, he drafted opinions and memos involving condemnation proceedings and criminal cases and researched and analyzed constitutional challenges to local and state government actions. He also served as an extern to the Honorable Daniel Roberts, J.S.C., New Jersey Superior Court, Civil Division. Mr. Towriss graduated from Seton Hall University (cum laude), where he was Senior Editor of the Seton Hall Journal of Legislation and Public Policy. He received his B.A. from Boston College and is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.
