Gibbons P.C. ranked #19 among the “Best Places to Work in New Jersey” on the annual list published by NJBIZ, one of the state’s leading business publications. This is the 17th year in a row that Gibbons has been recognized in the “large company” category, having appeared on this list since its inception in 2005. The awards were presented at a dinner and ceremony on September 29 at the Event Center at iPlay America in Freehold, New Jersey.

“Our employees are our biggest asset, and we know that creating a positive workplace for them ensures that our clients – many of whom are also on this list – will continue to receive the top-notch service they have come to expect from Gibbons,” said Peter J. Torcicollo, Managing Director of Gibbons. “We owe a great deal to all of the firm’s employees, both attorneys and non-attorneys, and we will always be committed to earning that dedication.”

“We are honored each and every year we are listed among the Best Places to Work in New Jersey,” said Patrick C. Dunican Jr., the firm’s Executive Chairperson. “This ranking tells me our employees recognize that we have continued to prioritize their best interests as we have navigated through two years of transitions and returned to more normal operations.”

The Best Places to Work program honors companies that benefit the state’s economy, workforce, and fellow businesses. This year, NJBIZ ranked participating companies in three groups: small (15 to 49 employees); medium (50-249 employees); and large (more than 250 employees). Companies from across the state entered the two-part nomination process to determine the Best Places to Work, which entailed an analysis of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics, along with an employee survey to measure each company’s employee experience.

This year’s nomination highlighted the benefits, programs, and policies Gibbons offers that are of particular value to different demographic constituencies at the firm, including women, parents, diverse personnel, senior workers, and those requiring certain accommodations, as well as  the new and amended policies and platforms the firm implemented in response to the COVID-19 crisis. The nomination also discussed how the firm’s many volunteer and pro bono opportunities, which promote an environment of collaboration and service, strengthen employee satisfaction, noting in particular the firm’s partnerships with outside organizations through which Gibbons attorneys assist women- and minority-owned businesses impacted by COVID-19.

Gibbons has been acknowledged as a great workplace by various other organizations and publications. The firm most recently was selected as a Great Place to Work®, in the Consulting & Professional Services Industry category, by the Great Place to Work® organization and Fortune magazine.
