Gibbons P.C. ranked #6 on this year’s list of the “Best Places to Work in New Jersey,” moving up two spots over last year to one of its highest rankings ever and the highest since 2010. Gibbons was also the top-ranked law firm in its category on this annual list published by NJBIZ, one of the leading business news publications in the state. This is the 15th year in a row that Gibbons has been recognized as one of the best places to work in the state in the “large company” (more than 250 employees) category. The awards were presented at an virtual ceremony on September 17.

“Over the past few years, it has become clear that what makes Gibbons a ‘best’ place to work is that all personnel, from the mailroom to the C-suite, are truly part of the Gibbons family,” said Patrick C. Dunican Jr., the firm’s Chairman and Managing Director. “While many companies tout collegiality, work/life balance, family-friendly policies, and close-knit workplace communities, so we are not alone in embracing those qualities. But what makes Gibbons unique among workplace ‘families’ is the pride everyone at the firm takes in the Gibbons name.”

The Best Places to Work program recognizes and honors companies that benefit the state’s economy, workforce, and fellow businesses. This year, NJBIZ ranked participating companies in three groups: small (15 to 49 employees); medium (50-249 employees); and large. Companies from across the state entered the two-part nomination process to determine the Best Places to Work, which entailed an analysis of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics, as well as an employee survey to measure the employee experience.

This year’s nomination highlighted the firm’s signature initiatives that leverage pride in the Gibbons name to optimize the firm’s delivery of exceptional client service, work product, employee professional development, and corporate social responsibility programs. Our signature initiatives align with the firm-wide brand, core services, and core values; deliver results that address long-term needs; and simultaneously improve performance, inspire employees, and heighten brand reputation. They include the Gibbons Diversity and Women’s Initiatives; Gibbons Fellowship and Gibbons Cares pro bono and outreach platforms; Gibbons Academy and Gibbons Leadership Academy client and attorney CLE and leadership training programs; and Gibbons Experience employee benefits and personnel policies package.

Gibbons has been recognized as a great workplace by various other organizations, most recently earning a “Great Workplace” certification for the fifth consecutive year from the independent analysts at the Great Place to Work® consulting firm and Fortune magazine. In addition, the firm has been ranked nationally, as a “Best Places to Work in America,” by the Society for Human Resources Management and Great Place to Work Institute, and has been named one of the best places to work in New York City and Pennsylvania by such publications as Crain’s New York Business, Central Penn Business Journal, and Philadelphia Business Journal.
