Gibbons Featured in the 2018 Chambers Associate Guide

June 20, 2018

Leading legal publisher Chambers and Partners profiled Gibbons P.C. in the recently released 2018-2019 Chambers Associate Guide, which gives law students and new lawyers an in-depth look at law firm life by reviewing leading law firms throughout the United States and provides an inside view of each, including their business models and hiring strategies. Gibbons was also ranked #11 on the Chambers Associate Guide’s “Best Law Firms for Pro Bono” list.

The publication notes, “Armed with their newly acquired skills, juniors sought ‘a higher caliber of firm’ and found exactly what they were looking for in Gibbons. “As a result of the clerkship model, they put immediate trust into associates. “I was never doubted – during my first week here I was asked well, what do you think?’” An interviewee was quoted as saying “[T]here’s always something new and interesting to learn about,” while another interviewee stated that “we all know what needs to be done, and everybody wants to do well.” Another associate, when asked about the firm’s presence in Newark, noted, “it’s nice to be here and know that you’re in Gibbons’ hub.”

Chambers editors assemble the information in its “Inside View” section from confidential, detailed telephone interviews of the firm’s second- and third-year associates. Associates are asked about their experiences at the firm, including their work, training and development, offices, firm culture, hours and compensation, pro bono work, diversity, and the firm’s strategy and future.
