Leading legal publisher Chambers and Partners profiled Gibbons P.C. in the recently released 2017-2018 Chambers Associate Guide, giving an inside view of the firm, including its business model and hiring strategy. Chambers Associate provides law students and new lawyers with an in-depth look at law firm life by reviewing leading law firms throughout the United States.
The publication notes that “Gibbons is a huge legal brand in New Jersey.” An interviewee was quoted as saying, “People are proud to work here, and when a piece of work is sent out they are proud to put their name on it. Gibbons has built its reputation by providing legal services of the highest quality. We all work hard to maintain that reputation.” Another interviewee echoed that sentiment by saying the firm’s connection to the city of Newark and the surrounding businesses and universities “makes us feel like we’re part of a network of excellence.”
Chambers editors assemble the information in its “Inside View” section from confidential, detailed telephone interviews of the firm’s second- and third-year associates. Associates are asked about their experiences at the firm, including their work, training and development, offices, firm culture, hours and compensation, pro bono work, diversity, and the firm’s strategy and future.
