For the fourth consecutive year, Gibbons has earned the Women in Law Empowerment Forum’s (WILEF) Gold Standard Certification. Gibbons is one of only 45 firms to make the list this year and one of only 22 firms to receive a Gold Standard Certification every year since WILEF established the program.

WILEF’s certification program, launched in 2011, identifies law firms throughout the country that include a meaningful percentage of women in top leadership positions. For its 2014 WILEF Certification, Gibbons satisfied five out of the six areas, surpassing the necessary certification criteria. Gibbons met the criteria listed below, with women comprising:

  • Ten percent of the firm’s chairs and managing partners
  • Twenty percent of the firm’s primary governance committee
  • Twenty percent of the firm’s compensation committee
  • Twenty-five percent of the firm’s practice group leaders or department heads
  • Ten percent of the top half of the firm’s most highly compensated partners

“Gibbons is very proud to be a four-time Gold Standard Certification firm,” stated Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons. “We are committed to the promotion, advancement, and retention of women at the firm and are honored by the recognition of our efforts.”
