Gibbons Director Kevin Walsh Inducted as President of Essex County Bar Association

Kevin G. Walsh, Co-Chair of the Government & Regulatory Affairs Department of Gibbons P.C., was sworn in as President of the Essex County Bar Association by the Honorable Sallyanne Floria, A.J.S.C., at a virtual swearing-in ceremony on May 11, 2020.

Mr. Walsh’s practice at Gibbons covers the unique combination – and, often, intersection – of government affairs, criminal defense, and business litigation issues. In addition to helping his government affairs clients navigate the channels and levers of state government, he handles a variety of matters that range from complex business litigation to internal and government investigations, both criminal and regulatory. His clients include hospitals, electric utilities, telecommunications companies, cable television providers, solar contractors, colleges and universities, accounting firms, infrastructure/architecture firms, and trade associations.

Mr. Walsh was an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey from 2003-2008, where he prosecuted economic crimes and fraud cases. He is also a former elected local government official in New Jersey. Mr. Walsh’s distinct background shapes his advocacy for his clients’ interests before state agencies and executive branch officials in Trenton, as well in courts throughout New Jersey and New York.
