David E. De Lorenzi, Chair of the Intellectual Property Department at Gibbons P.C., and Christine A. Amalfe, Chair of the firm’s Employment & Labor Law Department, have been featured as two of only 335 attorneys nationwide on BTI Consulting Group’s 18th annual “Client Service All-Stars” list.

Mr. De Lorenzi was also included among a highly select group of 18 “All-Stars” nationwide for having been selected two or more consecutive years, earning him the designation of a “Client Service All-Star MVP.”

The Client Service All-Stars list is an annual data-driven ranking based on more than 350 in-depth telephone interviews over the course of a year with leading legal decision makers at organizations with $1 billion or more in revenue. In addition to other questions, researchers from BTI ask these corporate counsel interviewees to name outside counsel who stand out for their exceptional and noteworthy client service. Among the All-Stars’ most noted qualities were comprehensive understanding of clients’ businesses and ability to anticipate and prevent significant issues before they arise.

“The BTI Client Service All-Stars demonstrate an unrelenting pursuit to find what best fulfills clients’ needs,” says Michael Rynowecer of BTI. “Legal decision makers say these attorneys have an unquenchable thirst to understand their clients better than all other attorneys. In short, General Counsel and legal decision makers say these 335 attorneys represent the epitome of client service.”

For the last eight years, Mr. De Lorenzi has also been ranked among the world’s leading patent practitioners by Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) and is listed among the region’s leading intellectual property lawyers by U.S. News Best Lawyers®, Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and Thomson Reuters New Jersey Super Lawyers. He has nearly 30 years of trial court experience before federal courts nationwide and the International Trade Commission in all fields of intellectual property law, spanning a variety of technologies. The other half of his practice involves counseling clients on their strategic intellectual property development, acquisition, divestiture, and enforcement needs, and negotiating intellectual property transactions that accomplish those business goals.

In recent years, Ms. Amalfe has earned the New Jersey Law Journal’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Trial Attorneys of New Jersey’s Trial Bar Award, and the Essex County Bar Association’s Civil Trial Attorney Award and has been elected a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. She is listed in Best Lawyers®, Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and New Jersey Super Lawyers. She is also regularly commended by clients for understanding their business needs while aggressively litigating their legal issues and providing comprehensive employment related counseling and training. Ms. Amalfe has been extensively involved in defending single plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class claims under state and federal employment laws. She also conducts multifaceted employment counseling and training for corporate clients, public entities, and educational institutions.
