Peter J. Frazza, Allen L. Harris, and Christopher P. Anton have joined the Commercial & Criminal Litigation Department of Gibbons P.C., which continues to grow, diversify, and add depth to its broad commercial litigation practice. All three career-long business litigators formerly worked at Budd Larner P.C.

“This talented team brings to Gibbons decades of exactly the kind of wide-ranging litigation experience we rely on to best serve our clients, along with compelling practice niches in areas of increasing interest to those clients,” notes Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons.

Mr. Frazza, who joins Gibbons as a Director, will expand the firm’s software licensing and software-as-a-service practice, representing companies around the country in connection with the negotiation, drafting, and preparation of software license, hardware, software development, maintenance, and service agreements; disputes involving software, copyright, intellectual property, and license agreement issues; fulfillment of software audit requests from software vendors and the Business Software Alliance; creation of licensees’ RFPs, RFIs, and statements of work. The practice group will also conduct in-house and external training sessions on software licensing and software agreement negotiations.

In addition to his software licensing and software-as-a-service practice, Mr. Frazza over the years has handled complex matters in the areas of attorney and accounting malpractice, franchise practices, trademark and copyright disputes, business torts, unfair competition, and shareholder and partnership disputes. He represents clients in numerous industries, with a particular focus in healthcare. He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from Lycoming College.

Mr. Harris also joins the firm as a Director. He handles commercial litigation matters involving contracts, business disputes, real estate, professional negligence, and other issues. He is experienced in litigating complex cases involving substantial discovery, which has included conducting discovery throughout the U.S. and in Asia and Europe. Mr. Harris also has experience in defending clients – both insured and self-insured – in matters involving personal injury and property damage and is often selected to serve as an arbitrator in uninsured and under-insured motorist arbitrations. He earned his J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law and his B.S. from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications from Syracuse University.

Mr. Anton serves as Counsel at Gibbons and represents corporations and other business entities and individuals in a broad variety of matters involving complex business and financial transactions throughout the state and federal courts and in private arbitrations. He will join Mr. Frazza in helping to grow the firm’s software licensing and software-as-a-service practice, assisting corporations, healthcare systems, and organizations around the country with the negotiation, preparation, and drafting of software license agreements and with the resolution and litigation of technology-related disputes. He earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School and his B.A. from St. Lawrence University.
