Gibbons Chief Financial Officer Selected as Finalist for 2014 NJBIZ CFO of the Year Award

Robert Faro, the Chief Financial Officer of Gibbons P.C., was selected as a finalist for the NJBIZ CFO of the Year Awards in the category of private companies with revenues over $50 million. This awards program, held on October 10, celebrated the financial executives who contribute to the success of New Jersey’s economic growth and stability.

“Having spent his entire career in law firms, Rob has watched the legal industry’s business model shift over the past 10 years,” stated Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons. “As a member of our senior management team, he focuses on providing our clients with excellent value, while at the same time insuring the stability of our firm for the future.”

As the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Faro oversees all accounting and financial operations. He is responsible for providing the firm’s management with timely and accurate financial statements, ongoing cash flow projections, and budget and forecasting projections. He is also responsible for establishing and maintaining all internal procedures and controls, and he directly oversees all tax, audit, and compliance issues. Mr. Faro started at Gibbons as its Controller in 2005, and was promoted to CFO in 2011. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
