Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce that Christine A. Stearns has been promoted to Director in the firm’s Government Affairs Department and will serve as Administrative Director of the firm’s Trenton office.
Ms. Stearns joined Gibbons earlier this year during the expansion of the firm’s Government Affairs Department and is also a member of the Healthcare Team. Selected by NJBIZ as one of the “50 Most Powerful People in Health Care in New Jersey” for four years and by NJ Spotlight as one of the “Top 10 Healthcare Lobbyists in New Jersey,” Ms. Stearns served as Vice President of Health & Legal Affairs for the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) prior to joining Gibbons. She sits on several state boards that regulate various aspects of New Jersey’s healthcare system, including the Health Care Administration Board. She also serves on the board of Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice and the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute, a nonprofit foundation working to ensure quality, accountability, and cost containment in New Jersey.
Ms. Stearns is an attorney with a wide range of political and legislative experience who began her career with government and public relations firm Princeton Public Affairs, where she worked with a variety of clients to develop and implement legislative and regulatory strategies. In 2005, she co-chaired the Governor of New Jersey’s Health Care and Senior Service Policy Group, which advised the Governor during the gubernatorial transition.
“With her recent background as an executive with the NJBIA and her extensive engagement with industry organizations and state entities, Christine has experience with key constituencies in New Jersey’s public, private, and nonprofit sectors that ideally positions her to manage the administrative and operational functions of our thriving Trenton office,” says Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons.
