Gibbons Announces 2013 Fall Associate Class

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce its 2013 class of fall associates. Consistent with the firm’s commitment to hiring the most promising new attorneys with the most relevant prior experience, each fall 2013 associate has recently completed a judicial clerkship. The new class includes four recent federal clerks for the United States District Courts. Two members of the Gibbons fall associate class have served as law clerks in the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Three former Superior Court clerks round out the class.

Gibbons heavily emphasizes recruiting judicial law clerks and has done so for many years. As a result, fully 75 percent of the firm’s litigation attorneys served for federal or state judges, including many sitting judges and justices of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals; United States District Courts; state supreme courts; state appellate courts; and many chancery courts throughout the region. This predominance of former judicial law clerks gives us in-depth, first-hand knowledge of judges in the federal and state systems and the inner workings of the courts while adding another level of instant credibility.

“The caliber of talent in this fall’s class is remarkably well matched to the caliber of our clients and to their legal needs,” says Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons.

Peter J. Torcicollo, the firm’s Director of Professional Development, Recruiting, Associate Retention, and Lateral Hiring, notes, “Our fall class is exceptionally well prepared to serve our clients. We are delighted to welcome these outstanding attorneys to the firm.”
