Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) has again ranked the Intellectual Property Group at Gibbons P.C. among “The World’s Leading Patent Professionals,” granting the firm its “Gold Band” rating for practices whose “success hinges on reputations established over lengthy periods of time, something which enables them to secure the most high-profile, big-ticket instructions from the most demanding of clients.”

In addition, seven Gibbons attorneys—David E. De Lorenzi, Chair of the Intellectual Property Group, and Thomas J. Bean, Charles H. Chevalier, Samuel H. Megerditchian, Robert E. Rudnick, Christopher H. Strate, and Estelle J. Tsevdos—were ranked individually among IAM’s leading patent practitioners, spanning the litigation, prosecution, and transactions categories.

This is the thirteenth straight year IAM has recognized David De Lorenzi and the firm.

To compile the IAM Patent 1000, the IAM team conducts extensive research over the course of five months, entailing thousands of interviews with private practice attorneys based in dozens of countries as well as the users of their services, in order to identify the practitioners and practices that are considered to excel at providing patent-related legal services.

The publication notes:

David De Lorenzi captains the team and is a seasoned trial lawyer who brings wisdom distilled from 30 years in the game to make all the right strategic plays. Charles Chevalier “is sharp, intelligent, strategic, and a terrific problem solver and communicator.” Former engineer Christopher Strate is a wonderfully well-rounded lawyer who thinks outside of the box to deliver purposeful solutions. Samuel Megerditchian “is responsive, supportive and keeps costs low by focusing on the essential areas where assistance is necessary. Samuel’s in-house and rich industry experience means he is uniquely placed to provide 360-degree strategic advice.” Robert Rudnick “is a precise, dedicated and honest practitioner; he exceeds expectations and there is always a timely turnaround on work.” Thomas Bean is a dab hand at portfolio management and development … [and] provide[s] invaluable strategic counseling.” Estelle Tsevdos “draws on her deep technical understanding to design detailed patent applications and see them through to successful grant.”
