Christopher Cavaiola Joins Gibbons Environmental Department

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce the arrival of Christopher J. Cavaiola, who joins the firm’s Newark office as an associate in the Environmental Department.
Prior to joining Gibbons, Mr. Cavaiola was an associate at Connell Foley LLP in the Environmental Law, Real Estate, and Land Use practice groups, where he represented clients in both litigation and transactional matters. He advised on complex environmental litigation involving CERCLA and the New Jersey Spill Act, as well as on regulatory enforcement and compliance matters, including hazardous waste, site remediation, and federal and state cost recovery and contribution claims. Prior to joining Connell Foley, Mr. Cavaiola served as a law clerk to the Honorable Katie A. Gummer, J.S.C., Civil Division, Complex Business Litigation Judge for Monmouth Vicinage, and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael A. Shipp, U.S. District Judge for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Cavaiola earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Vermont Law School, where he was Articles Editor of the Vermont Law Review. He earned his M.A. from Monmouth University and his B.S. from the University of Scranton. He is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.
