Cecilia Y. Carreras Joins the Gibbons Products Liability Group

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce that Cecilia Y. Carreras has joined the firm as an associate in the Products Liability Group, resident in the Philadelphia office.

Ms. Carreras was most recently with Anapol Weiss in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she litigated personal injury cases, particularly those involving medical malpractice issues. Her experience includes preparing clients for depositions and coordinating testimony, including, for example, the testimony of more than 300 class plaintiffs during a month-long damages hearing. She also drafted and responded to discovery requests, addressed discovery disputes in court, and prepared legal filings such as motions in limine, motions for summary judgment, responses, briefs, pre-trial memoranda, voir dire, jury instructions, and verdict slips.

Additionally, her background includes serving as a judicial extern to the Honorable Marjorie Rendell, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Philadelphia, and as an intern in the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

Ms. Carreras earned her J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and her B.A., in Criminal Justice, from the University of Richmond. She is admitted to practice in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania and U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania.
