The New Jersey Law Journal (NJLJ) has named Gibbons P.C.’s Kevin H. Gilmore, a Business & Commercial Litigation associate, as the winner in the publication’s 2025 New Jersey Legal Awards “Pro Bono Attorney of the Year” category. The publication sponsors the New Jersey Legal Awards to “recognize great lawyers and lawyering” and “celebrate the trailblazers, innovators, and dedicated professionals who have made a lasting impact on the State’s legal landscape—and beyond.” This year’s ceremony was held on October 30 at The Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, New Jersey.
Mr. Gilmore was nominated by Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ) in acknowledgement of his pro bono work with the organization, which began in 2018 and has focused on criminal record expungement and eviction defense. VLJ noted of Mr. Gilmore in the nomination: “Kevin doesn’t just provide legal services; he restores hope in the justice system. His commitment to VLJ’s mission of ensuring access to justice for people experiencing poverty, demonstrated through his enthusiastic embrace of pro bono, willingness to take on challenging cases, and compassionate approach to clients, sets a remarkable standard for the legal community.
