Most employment cases resolve voluntarily in mediation or settlement negotiations attendant to mediation. But cases don’t settle themselves. This program features practitioners representing the various stakeholders common to the vast majority of employment disputes: plaintiff’s counsel, defense counsel, and the mediator. The panelists will engage in an interactive discussion about the strategies that appear to be most effective for reaching a favorable resolution, common missteps, tips for effective negotiations, insights into case valuation, the potential impacts of other jury verdicts, and other considerations.
