Events

September 17, 2013 | 8:30 AM - September 17, 2013 | 10:30 AM EST

Today, more than ever, timely and effective workplace investigations are a business imperative. With scrutiny by federal, state, and local agencies on the rise and the ongoing obligation to respond to employee complaints of whistleblowing, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, it is critical that in-house counsel, human resources and/or managers be equipped to adequately conduct or coordinate investigations. This seminar will discuss:

  • How to conduct an effective and defensible internal investigation;
  • Preserving confidentiality and privilege in internal investigations, where necessary;
  • Ways to reduce or eliminate legal risks; and
  • Guidelines and practical tips for responding to employee complaints or allegations of wrongdoing by law enforcement.
