Speaker, Gibbons Academy, "The New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act - What You Need to Know," Newark, NJ

July 11, 2012 | 5:00 AM EST

The New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act (“CFA”) is one of the most comprehensive and strongest consumer protection statutes in the country. Since its original passage in 1960, the CFA has also been one of the most-litigated New Jersey statutes and the subject of a number of seminal decisions.

In this seminar, we will provide a general overview of the CFA, the elements of a CFA claim, and the significant remedies that are available to CFA plaintiffs. We will also discuss the myriad types of disputes in which CFA claims are often asserted and address some of the statute’s significant features about which practitioners should be aware when counseling clients.
