Speaker, Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey's (CIANJ) Healthcare Roundtable, "Updates on the Affordable Care Act," Teaneck, NJ

April 8, 2015 | 8:00 AM - April 8, 2015 | 9:30 AM EST

Rep. Frank Pallone will lead off a panel discussion of the Affordable Care Act. As one of the authors of this national healthcare reform, Rep. Pallone provides a unique perspective on the evolution of the law and its implementation moving forward. In the four years since the law was adopted, businesses still have questions about how it works, what their responsibilities are and how to best navigate the new marketplace. Our panel of legal and industry experts will examine how the law affects health plans and coverage, while also giving insights on court decisions and possible legislative actions that could reshape the law and its scope. The discussion topics will include:

  • Regulations affecting companies – enforcing compliance for notices and penalties
  • Federal subsidies in the wake of the King v. Burwell decision by the U.S. Supreme Court
  • Changing marketplace of health plans and coverage
  • New Jersey’s new health data encryption law
