Mr. Aginsky oversees all information technology projects and platforms for Gibbons, with more than 400 employees located in five offices throughout four states. He was responsible for the build-out of a new 650-square-foot data center that coincided with the relocation of the firm’s headquarters. Under his direction, the firm has implemented various technological advancements, including end-to-end Internet Protocol (IP) voice and data network with new voice over IP (VoIP) telephone headsets, enhanced voicemail applications, increased network bandwidth between all offices, and secure remote access to voice and data systems. These capabilities help Gibbons to compete effectively with large national firms and provide the best possible service for clients, who are not only looking for top legal talent and favorable billing rates, but also advanced technology capabilities such as extranets, e-billing capabilities, and electronic litigation management.

Mr. Aginsky has also developed and implemented various customized software programs at Gibbons, which have involved collaborating with outside software developers to outline the program through implementation firm-wide.

Applications for a Mobile Workforce

Mr. Aginsky has developed technology initiatives that have enabled Gibbons to create a truly mobile workforce, allowing attorneys to connect seamlessly to the firm’s network and all other technology capabilities, whether they are in courthouses, client meetings, or home offices. One application allows employees to have calls from their offices automatically forwarded to their mobile phones, which, combined with unified messaging, allows firm employees to give out one number or extension for work and better manage the stream of incoming calls and messages. In addition, the firm outfits attorneys with smartphones for seamless client communications and flexibility, and laptops that enable remote access to the firm’s entire network.

Electronic Discovery & Information Management

Mr. Aginsky is a key member of the firm’s E-Discovery Task Force, providing both broad and deep insight into the highly technical aspects of electronic discovery and information management issues.
