Marquis A. Whitney

Associate, Commercial & Criminal Litigation

Mr. Whitney has extensive experience working on matters in federal court. Prior to joining Gibbons, Mr. Whitney completed his clerkship for the Honorable James B. Clark, III, U.S.M.J., United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. In this role, he was responsible for drafting opinions and orders, reviewing motions, conducting legal research, managing the Court’s docket, and providing recommendations to the Court. He also attended civil and criminal trials, criminal sentencings, and settlement conferences.

Prior to his federal clerkship, Mr. Whitney was also an Appeals Clerk and Courtroom Deputy at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, where he worked for the Clerk’s Office, the Honorable James B. Clark, III, U.S.M.J., and the Honorable Madeline Cox Arleo, U.S.D.J.
