Gibbons P.C. ranked #13 on this year’s list of the “Best Places to Work in New Jersey,” moving up in position over last year on this annual list published by NJBIZ, the premier weekly newspaper covering business in New Jersey. This is the thirteenth year in a row that Gibbons has been recognized as one of the best places to work in the state in the “large company” (more than 250 employees) category. The awards were presented at an evening ceremony on May 1 at iPlay America’s Event Center in Freehold, NJ, with representatives from 100 companies in attendance.

“Dissatisfied employees lead to dissatisfied clients, so it makes business sense to strive to be one of the best places to work in New Jersey year after year,” said Patrick C. Dunican Jr., the firm’s Chairman and Managing Director. “And with such talented, dedicated employees, Gibbons is happy to provide benefits, events, policies, and an all-around workplace environment that make them want to stay for the long term.”

The Best Places to Work program recognizes and honors companies that benefit the state’s economy, workforce, and fellow businesses. This year, NJBIZ ranked participating companies in two groups: small/medium (15-249 employees) and large. Companies from across the state entered the two-part nomination process to determine the Best Places to Work, which entailed an analysis of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics, as well as an employee survey to measure the employee experience.

This year’s nomination highlighted the firm’s “Gibbons Experience” program. The Gibbons Experience is a generous, innovative benefits package that adds to the exhaustive list of traditional benefits offered by the firm and encompasses other policies, technologies, and initiatives to support the firm’s personnel in their career progression and in their work/life balance. The “Gibbons Experience” also includes a number of employee appreciation events that provide Gibbons personnel opportunities to socialize, relax, and otherwise enjoy downtime at work or with work colleagues. These events, hosted throughout the year, consist of, among others, holiday BBQs, monthly “Jeans Days for Charity,” a week-long Saint Patrick’s Day celebration, a health and wellness fair, and a holiday party in December for all employees.
