Jennifer A. Hradil, a Director in the Commercial & Criminal Litigation Department at Gibbons P.C., has been named one of Profiles in Diversity Journal’s “Women Worth Watching” for 2018, based on her sophisticated, wide-ranging commercial litigation and appellate practice, the leadership and innovation she demonstrates in that practice, and her dedicated community service, particularly in connection with the Gibbons Women’s Initiative.

Ms. Hradil joins fellow Gibbons attorneys Christine Amalfe, Kim Catullo, Karen Giannelli, Susan Nardone, Camille Otero, and Natasha Songonuga, who all have been featured in annual “Women Worth Watching” issues over the past eight years. On the 2018 list, she also joins women executives from such national and global companies as American Airlines, Ernst & Young, LinkedIn, and The Walt Disney Company; Am Law 200 law firms; prominent academic institutions, such as the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; and numerous other corporations across a wide range of industries, as well as nonprofits spanning a variety of issues and causes.

“If I were to describe the women in this issue in one word, I would choose the word courageous,” said James Rector, publisher of Profiles in Diversity Journal. “To have [these] women executives sharing their best thinking all in one magazine is a testament to their belief in and practice of paying it forward.”

At Gibbons, Ms. Hradil concentrates her business litigation practice in federal and state courts in New Jersey and New York at both the trial and appellate levels, representing clients in various complex commercial disputes and helping them navigate the legal ramifications of their businesses. She has litigated many types of business disputes, including business tort, professional malpractice, breach of contract, antitrust, securities, restrictive covenant, and unfair competition matters. Most notably, Ms. Hradil has represented clients in various appeals in both state and federal courts. At the federal level, these have included appeals to the Court of Appeals from District Court Orders, as well as to the District Court from Bankruptcy Court orders and discovery rulings by Magistrate Judges. Ms. Hradil has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second, Third, and Ninth Circuits.

Earlier this year, Ms. Hradil was selected as one of the NJBIZ Best 50 Women in Business. In addition to being recognized by NJBIZ, Ms. Hradil has been listed in Thomson Reuters New Jersey Super Lawyers, in the Business Litigation category, for several years, and, before that, in New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars.
