Gibbons P.C. Welcomes 2017 Fall Associate Class

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to announce that seven new associates have joined the firm, bringing diverse talent and experience that further enhances the service that Gibbons delivers to clients. Their practices will span two of the firm’s legal departments, as well as the Gibbons Fellowship.

Consistent with the firm’s commitment to hiring the most promising new attorneys with the most relevant prior experience, each associate has recently completed a judicial clerkship, with some having completed more than one. The members of the new class have completed clerkships in federal and state courts throughout the United States, including in the states of California, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, and New York.

The new associates, along with overviews of their practices, are listed below.

Kelsey A. Ball, Business & Commercial Litigation Department
Ms. Ball most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Dennis R. O’Brien, Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Civil Part. She also was a summer associate at Keefe Bartels, LLC in Red Bank, New Jersey and served as a Consumer Affairs Counseling Intern for the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Division of Law. Ms. Ball earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she was a member of the Seton Hall Circuit Review, and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Monmouth University. She is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York.

Justin A. Corbalis, Business & Commercial Litigation Department
Mr. Corbalis most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Ronald A. Guzman, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He also clerked for the Honorable Maria Valdez, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Corbalis earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Rutgers Law School – Camden, where he was Managing Editor of the Journal of Law & Philosophy, and his B.A. from The College of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.

Nicholas A. Falcone, Business & Commercial Litigation Department
Mr. Falcone most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Stuart Rabner, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor for the American Journal of Law and Medicine; his M.P.H. from Boston University School of Public Health; and his B.S., magna cum laude, from The College of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in the state of Massachusetts.

Farbod K. Faraji, John J. Gibbons Fellowship in Public Interest & Constitutional Law
Mr. Faraji most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Jacqueline Nguyen, U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He also clerked for the Honorable Kimba Wood, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he was Senior Editor for the Stanford Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, and his B.A. from Stanford University. He is admitted to practice in the state of California.

Brittany E. Grierson, Employment & Labor Law Department
Ms. Grierson most recently completed a clerkship for the Honorable Elizabeth A. Stafford, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She also clerked for the U.S. Department of Justice’s (Honors Program) Executive Office for Immigration Review in San Antonio, Texas. Ms. Grierson earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School – Newark, where she was Notes Editor for the Rutgers Business Law Review, and her B.A. from Rutgers University. She is admitted to practice in the state of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Elahe Hosseini, Business & Commercial Litigation Department
Ms. Hosseini completed a clerkship for the Staff Attorney’s Office of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, providing legal advice to the judges of the court on all immigration cases, substantive motions, and pro se appeals. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review, and her B.A. from McGill University. She is admitted to practice in the state of New York.

Cymetra M. Williams, Business & Commercial Litigation Department
Ms. Williams completed a clerkship for the Honorable Michael A. Shipp, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, her M.P.A. from Columbia University School of International Public Affairs, her M.P.H. from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, and her B.A. from College of the Holy Cross. She is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey.
