Gibbons Of Counsel James Zazzali to be Featured on New Jersey Capitol Report

James R. Zazzali, Of Counsel at Gibbons P.C. and Retired Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey, will be featured on an upcoming episode of New Jersey Capitol Report with Steve Adubato and Rafael Pi Roman. The episode is scheduled to air on July 2 at 6:00 am on NJTV, and at 8:30 am on Thirteen. This program is also among the first taped on the new set for the New Jersey Capitol Report at NJTV Studios, located in Two Gateway Center in Newark.

New Jersey Capitol Report examines New Jersey’s most pressing public policy issues and looks at political, social, and cultural issues affecting the people of New Jersey through in-depth conversations with the state’s top legislative leaders and political pundits.

As a featured guest on the program, Mr. Zazzali will draw on his extensive experience to discuss the role and impact of the New Jersey Supreme Court. He joined Gibbons in 2007, after retiring from the bench. Mr. Zazzali had served on the Supreme Court for over six years, and had written more than 100 opinions, before he was named Chief Justice in 2006.

At Gibbons, Mr. Zazzali advises clients on such matters as corporate governance, institutional ethics, internal investigations, appeals, mediation, and arbitration. Prior to his service on the bench, Mr. Zazzali had served as, among other positions, general counsel for the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, Chairman of the New Jersey State Commission of Investigation, New Jersey Attorney General, and Chief of the Appeals Division of the Office of the Essex County Prosecutor. Mr. Zazzali is a past recipient of both the Sidney H. Lehman Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Medal of Honor Award from the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, as well as the Roger N. Baldwin Award from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of New Jersey.
