David J. Freeman, a Director in the Gibbons P.C. Real Property & Environmental Department, has been selected to serve on the 2015 Environmental Editorial Advisory Board for Law360, the prominent online news source covering all major litigation and transactions, as well as broad legislative and judicial developments and news.

These editorial advisory boards provide Law360 editorial staff with insight from experts in key fields, as well as feedback on Law360’s coverage. Members of the advisory boards participate in conference calls on designated days and are asked to prepare several topics, trends or cases in their respective practices to discuss during the call.

Mr. Freeman has over 35 years of experience representing buyers, sellers, and developers of contaminated properties, as well as both plaintiffs and defendants in Superfund and other litigation regarding the cleanup of hazardous waste sites. He is a frequent author and speaker on environmental law topics and is the recipient of a 2012 Burton Award as “an outstanding law firm author.” His extensive bar association and pro bono activities include service as President of the New York City Brownfield Partnership, Vice Chair of the New York State League of Conservation Voters Education Fund, Co-Chair of the New York State Bar Association Environmental Law Section Committee of Hazardous Waste/Site Cleanup, and Special Legal Counsel to the United Nations Environment Programme for North American Environmental Affairs. Mr. Freeman is listed in Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and Thomson Reuters New York Metro Super Lawyers.
