CIANJ Honors Gibbons at Best Practices Conference

The Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) and COMMERCE Magazine honored Gibbons P.C. with a 2018 Best Practices Award at its 5th Annual Best Practices Conference. This year’s conference was held on September 20 at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange, New Jersey.

Best Practice Awards were given to company and business leaders selected by a blue-ribbon panel of judges assembled by CIANJ. This year’s awards program garnered participation from 100 chief-executive officers, managing partners, and business owners, whose nomination took the form of responses to the question, “How are you empowering your employees, so they can become sales leaders, innovators, rainmakers, brand ambassadors, and effective team players at your firm?”

Patrick C. Dunican Jr., Chairman and Managing Director of Gibbons, responded by saying, “We recognize the importance of leadership training, to ensure the firm’s continuity by teaching, and then passing on to the next generation, leadership roles, including those on the firm’s executive committee, practice group leaders, and chief administrative officers. In 2011, we launched the Gibbons Leadership Academy (GLA), a high-level program to identify our next generation of leaders and equip them with leading-edge techniques and practical instruction that will help them advance their careers to partnership and beyond and to guide the firm into the future. The GLA platform imparts the most valuable tactical and strategic instruction for raising their professional profiles, developing new business, providing stellar client service, effectively overseeing complex matters, and, eventually, honing the management and executive skills they need to successfully run the firm.”
