Tanya Pahwa Joins the Gibbons Corporate Group

Gibbons P.C. is pleased to welcome Tanya Pahwa to the firm as an associate in the Corporate Group, resident in the New York office. Her practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, private equity, early-stage and emerging growth, and general corporate and securities law. Ms. Pahwa is also a part of the Cross-Border Transactions Team at Gibbons.

Ms. Pahwa has nearly a decade of prior experience in leading large-scale public and private mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. She has advised a wide range of international clients, including leading multinational corporations, sovereign wealth funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, and strategic corporate clients, with a focus on such industries as technology, financial services, media, e-commerce, healthcare and pharmaceutical, infrastructure, and retail and hospitality. In addition, Ms. Pahwa has regularly advised her clients on general corporate and securities law matters, banking and financial regulations, and IT and data privacy laws.

Prior to joining Gibbons, Ms. Pahwa was a Counsel in the Corporate and Securities Group at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. in Mumbai, India, where she handled large-scale public and private mergers and acquisitions and strategic and financial investment transactions across various areas.

Ms. Pahwa also was a Senior Associate in the Corporate and Securities Group at AZB & Partners in Mumbai, India, representing multinational corporations and conglomerates, major banks and financial institutions, global private capital clients, and entrepreneurs on domestic and cross-border large-scale M&A and private equity transactions; additionally, she was a senior member of the firm’s Financial Service practice. Ms. Pahwa also worked in the Corporate and Securities Group of Nishith Desai Associates, a law firm headquartered in India, with offices in New York and Palo Alto.

Ms. Pahwa earned her LL.M., with honors, from Columbia Law School. She also holds a B.S.L. LL.B. from I.L.S. Law College, University of Pune in India. She is admitted to practice in the state of New York and in India.
