Dr. Clark is an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property Department. She focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, due diligence and clearance, and patent preparation and prosecution in the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, chemical, and material science fields. Dr. Clark earned a Ph.D., in Molecular and Integrative Physiology/Biomedical Engineering, from Cornell University where she investigated the role of the transcription factor Distal-less 3 on placental morphogenesis and its linkage to pre-eclampsia using a knockout mouse model.
She started her career as an associate at an intellectual property boutique firm in Washington, D.C., where she focused her practice on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications. Dr. Clark has experience in complicated patent disputes before the U.S. International Trade Commission and proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. She is also intimately familiar with patent landscape and validity analyses across multiple disciplines.
