Mr. Solomon has a broad-based transactional practice that includes private equity and real estate fund formation representing private investment fund investors and sponsors; swaps and other derivatives transactions; mergers and acquisitions; asset and real estate based lending; corporation formation and the structuring of startup and joint venture companies; preparation and negotiation of shareholder/operating agreements, other corporate governance documents, and various types of business contracts. He is actively involved in counseling clients throughout the life cycle of their businesses. Mr. Solomon represents a varied client base that ranges from small, closely held businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He also has experience in sports law.


Mr. Solomon has extensive experience representing corporate clients in business and real estate transactions, including private equity and real estate fund formation; swaps and other derivatives transactions; mergers and acquisitions; stock and asset purchases and sales; divestitures; joint ventures; corporate finance; commercial lending; choice of entity analysis formation and organization of new businesses; sales; purchases; development and financing of commercial real estate; license agreements; asset and stock purchase agreements; employment agreements; trademark and copyright registration; and other business agreements.

A focus of Mr. Solomon's practice is structuring private equity funds, the offering of interests therein, and the negotiation and documentation of investments therein. He regularly addresses issues arising under corporate, partnership, securities, political contributions, and investment management laws.

Mr. Solomon represents the State of New Jersey Division of Investment in connection with its Alternative Investment Program, designed to permit investments in real estate, private equity, and hedge funds.

Mr. Solomon represents professional athletes in contract negotiations and related legal matters. As a professional sports attorney, he represents athletes in contract negotiations with professional clubs and in sponsorship endorsements.
