Gibbons P.C. has once again been featured among only 25 law firms nationwide rated for their pro bono and diversity policies and programs in the 2016 Vault Associate Survey, ranking 16th for pro bono and 24th for diversity. The rankings are based on the results of Vault’s annual survey, administered to nearly 17,000 law firm associates across the country who assess firms in a variety of areas, including pro bono, diversity, and culture.

The Vault Associate Survey has an internal component through which respondents rate their own firms on various quality of life issues, and an external component through which they rate other firms based on overall, regional, and practice area prestige. The 25 best law firms for diversity were highly rated by associates for their commitment to hiring, retaining, and promoting diverse attorneys. In the diversity category, Gibbons also ranked 13th for women, 22nd for minorities, and 22nd for individuals with disabilities. In the pro bono arena, respondents had the opportunity to evaluate both the firm’s traditional pro bono program – which has focused most recently advocacy for the homeless, tenants, prisoners, asylum seekers, veterans, first responders, and society’s more vulnerable populations – as well as the nationally renowned John J. Gibbons Fellowship in Public Interest & Constitutional Law.
