William J. Palatucci, Special Counsel at Gibbons P.C., and Patrick C. Dunican Jr., the firm’s Chairman and Managing Director, were named by NJBIZ to its annual “Power 100” list of the most influential people in New Jersey business.

Mr. Palatucci and Mr. Dunican make their seventh consecutive appearances on the list, having been named every year since its inception in 2011. This year, Mr. Palatucci ranked 16th, while Mr. Dunican ranked 37th. Mr. Dunican is also the highest-ranking law firm leader among the Power 100.

NJBIZ notes of Bill Palatucci: “Palatucci is an interesting case. He’s tied as closely to (the governor) as anyone, making the uncertainty of the governor’s next role his uncertainty. He’s too smart and too good at what he does to not continue to have impact. Where, is the big question.”

Of Patrick Dunican, NJBIZ writes: Of all the firms that mix business and politics, no one does it better than Gibbons P.C. under the guidance of Dunican. “In terms of political impact in the business community, there’s no one even close to Gibbons,” the insider said. But that’s not all the firm does. It is one of the biggest in the state and is heavily involved in all things Newark.

To compile the “Power 100” list, NJBIZ editors spoke to many connected sources over several months to highlight the high-level officials in the state, county, and federal governments, as well as executives from some of New Jersey’s largest employers and organizations, who most help to strengthen New Jersey businesses.
