Charles A. Gaglia, Jr. is a registered patent attorney with 30 years experience in preparing and prosecuting United States and foreign patent applications. Mr. Gaglia counsels clients regarding patent licensing, freedom to operate opinions, patent infringement, and design of non-infringing products. He also drafts and negotiates Intellectual Property Agreements. He has worked in the fields of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, consumer healthcare products, sterile devices, paper, packaging, resins, adhesives, and biotechnology. Mr. Gaglia is an instructor at Rutgers Business School's Blanche and Irwin Lerner Center for Pharmaceutical Management Studies, where he introduces pharmaceutical executives to the basics of patent law.


Mr. Gaglia has held corporate management positions including Chief Patent Counsel for the International Paper Company; President of the International Paper Trademark Corporation; Assistant General Counsel and Intellectual Property and Environmental Law Counsel for Union Camp Corporation; and Patent Counsel for both the Consumer Products Division of Warner-Lambert Co. and Warner-Lambert Canada, Ltd. He is a past President of the New Jersey Intellectual Property Association and has chaired the Licensing, Litigation and Jefferson Medal Committees.
