Andrew P. MacArthur

Andrew MacArthur has litigated all aspects of patent cases from inception through trial in U.S. district courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission, including pre-filing analysis, fact and expert discovery, claim construction, dispositive motions, and significant trial work. Specifically, he has both fourth-chaired an inequitable conduct bench trial and prepared for a patent jury trial in the Southern District of New York. Generally, Mr. MacArthur has litigated technologies regarding computer telephony, SMS messaging, unified messaging, thin client software, software activation, firewall systems, semiconductors, KVM switches, and paper manufacturing and coating.

Mr. MacArthur is also experienced in counseling and licensing, including drafting patent opinions, analyzing patent portfolios, reviewing patents sold at auctions, and conducting due diligence for acquisitions. The technologies involved computer networks, telecommunications, Global Positioning Systems, medical devices, and cable networks.

Before his legal career, Mr. MacArthur developed software in the fields of diamond, gas, and unemployment insurance.
